IRS Announces Medical Mileage Rate of $0.27 Per Mile for Second Half of 2008
On Tuesday, June 24, 2008, the IRS announced that the automotive mileage rate for obtaining medical care during the second half of 2008 (July 1 through December 31, 2008) will be $0.27 per mile. This is an increase from the medical mileage rate of $0.19 per mile which is in effect for medical travel in the first half of 2008 (January 1 through June 30, 2008).
