IIAS UPDATE
Effective August 7, 2009 HFS will begin accepting debit card transactions from merchants that have certified as 90% compliant with IRS regulations. Per IRS regulations these transactions will require substantiation of the charge from the participant unless the charge matches a preset co-payment amount established as part of the participants benefit plan. If you chose to utilize one of these merchants, you will be sent a monthly statement requesting supporting documentation for these charges. A complete listing of 90% certified merchants is available on our website. Please remember that if you want to avoid the paperwork associated with debit card substantiation, please use only 100% certified IIAS merchants.
